Greenhouse provided plenty of plants

The Polo Woman’s Garden Club and Polo Schools FFA enjoyed an amazingly successful sale April 28.

Many shoppers stocked up on vegetables and annuals for their gardens at the FFA greenhouse.

In spite of the seemingly long winter, the Garden Club had more than 35 varieties of perennials dug from area gardens.

The club thanks everyone who donated plants and garden art to make the sale so diverse.

Also to be thanked are Matt Woodin, Stephanie Schultz and the FFA members who helped the club set up and work the sale.

Combining the location was definitely beneficial to both organizations.

The Garden Club raffle baskets, packed to the brim, were won by Marie Monaco and Joan Railey, both of Polo.

We appreciate everyone who purchased tickets in hopes of winning one of the baskets.

The FFA greenhouse remains open every day from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Stop by and support the chapter by adding old favorites and a few new varieties of plants to your vegetable and flower
