ROCK FALLS – Taste of Fiesta is on the move and will make its first run at RB&W District Park, at 301 E. Second St., from noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 22.
Taste of Fiesta, which celebrates Mexican Independence Day, was held at Grandon Civic Center in Sterling, but organizers were looking for a little more space.
The event features food, music, dance and art, kids activities, a fun fair and business booths. Admission is free.
The festivities begin this Saturday, though, with the annual Fiesta Days Parade. All groups are encouraged to incorporate Hispanic culture into their entries for the parade, which kicks off at 1 p.m. in Rock Falls.
Entries will line up on 10th Street, travel north on First Avenue, cross the bridge to Sterling, travel north on Locust Street to Fourth Street, and end at the Civic Center.
