DIXON – Fern E. Josephsen, 93, of Dixon, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Fern was born October 10, 1925, in Lee Center, the daughter of Henry and Mildred (Gleim) Hillison. She married LeRoy W. “Lee” Josephsen on July 4, 1943. Although they later divorced, they remained friends throughout the years. LeRoy preceded her in death on February 18, 2015.

She is survived by her two daughters, Carol (Dean) Jones of Celebration, FL, and Sandi (Ron) Reinhold of Dixon; two granddaughters, Michelle (Dan) Newman and Andrea (Jason) Cook, both of Dixon; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Newman, Nate (Lacey Bellows) Newman, Allison (Dakota Bloomfield) Newman, Brady Newman, Carlie Cook; one great-great-granddaughter, Rowan Newman; two step-great-grandchildren, Dean Jones, Stephanie Jones; two bonus great-great-grandchildren, Ophelia Lumzy and Oaklee Lumzy; and two brothers, Donald (Dotty) Hillison of Franklin Grove, and Delbert (Connie) Hillison of Monticello, WI.

Fern was also preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Engelbarts.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Ltd., Dixon. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2019, at the funeral home with the Rev. Vincent Marrandino officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon, IL.

A memorial has been established.
